QC Inspector – Civil Construction

About the role

The QC Inspector – Civil ensures that all civil construction activities meet the required drawings, specifications, codes and standards. Working directly on active work fronts, the role involves performing inspections, testing, and documentation to guarantee quality and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out in‑process and final inspections of earthworks, formwork, rebar and concrete.
• Witness concrete pours, conduct compaction tests and perform cube/cylinder sampling according to the Inspection Test Plan (ITP).
• Verify formwork, rebar placement and dimensions against approved drawings.
• Check concrete mix and rebar against material certificates and specifications.
• Record inspection results, raise Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) and coordinate hold points with client or third‑party inspectors.
• Maintain inspection records, checklists and daily QC reports.
• Confirm calibration status of measuring and test equipment used on site.
• Support punch‑list generation and verification of closure for civil works.
• Ensure work fronts comply with approved method statements and civil codes.
• Assist in preparing quality documentation for civil handover dossiers.

Required profile

• Field‑based role requiring daily presence on active civil work fronts.
• Comfortable with site and construction conditions.
• May need to work shifts or extended hours to meet inspection hold points.
