Quality Analyst

About the role

The Quality Analyst will support the hospital‑wide quality program for the assigned clinical area, working under the supervision of the designated quality leader. The role involves collecting and analysing clinical data, reporting trends, and driving improvement initiatives to enhance patient safety and care quality.

Key responsibilities

• Collect data from medical records and other sources, analyse it and prepare reports with trends, graphics and recommendations.
• Participate in performance‑improvement (PI) teams, validate data accuracy and support decision‑making.
• Process incidents reported in the Safety Reporting System, conduct investigations and root‑cause analyses for serious or sentinel events.
• Maintain databases related to the assigned section and ensure data integrity.
• Perform clinical duties within related specialties (e.g., nursing, laboratory, pharmacy) as required.
• Serve on committees, task forces and conduct educational sessions on quality, safety and customer service.
• Assist in implementing Quality Management and Quality Improvement programs and adhere to hospital policies.
• Engage in continuous personal and team development activities.

Required profile

• Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or a related discipline.
• Minimum two years of relevant experience with a Master’s degree, or four years with a Bachelor’s degree.
• Professional certifications such as CPHQ, CPPS, CPHRM, Lean, Six Sigma (ASQ or equivalent) or ISQUA are preferred.
• Prior experience with Magnet designation or Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation is highly preferred.
