Quality Assurance Manager

About the role

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for ensuring full compliance with American Petroleum Institute (API) standards across the manufacturing, machining, inspection, and testing of tubular goods, valves, wellhead equipment, and precision‑machined components. The role ensures product integrity, traceability, and conformity from raw material receipt through final inspection and certification. Additionally, the manager leads, implements, and sustains the Quality Management System (QMS) by monitoring, analyzing, and reporting service quality performance to management.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular reviews of the QMS.
• Represent AMCO in internal and external audits.
• Manage, train, and mentor QA staff and other employees on quality standards and best practices.
• Maintain licenses and certifications, ensuring adherence to regulations, standards and specifications.
• Plan and conduct internal/external audits, inspections, and process validations.
• Analyze quality metrics, identify trends, report on performance, and manage quality records.
• Manage a team of Document Controllers.
• Oversee supplier qualifications and performance monitoring.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, metallurgy, or equivalent.
• Lead Auditor qualification (mandatory).
• 8–12 years of relevant experience.

Required skills

• API Q1 (preferred).
• API Q2 (preferred).
• NDT Level II – Ultrasonic Testing (UT) (preferred).
• NDT Level II – Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) (preferred).
• NDT Level II – Liquid Penetrant Inspection (LPI) (preferred).
• Six Sigma methodology (preferred).
