Quality Assurance Quality Control Supervisor

About the role

The Quality Assurance & Quality Control Supervisor leads the QA/QC team in a food manufacturing environment, ensuring that all processes and finished products meet strict safety and quality standards. This role combines hands‑on supervision, system implementation, and continuous improvement to protect product integrity and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise staff monitoring process parameters and product conformity to specifications.
• Review process control checklists and submit reports to the Quality Manager.
• Update specifications in line with process changes and collaborate with other departments on quality issues.
• Implement and maintain ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BRC systems.
• Develop, verify, and maintain HACCP plans, quality manuals, recall programs, traceability drills, and labeling systems.
• Prepare and review quality‑related reports on a scheduled basis.
• Analyze customer complaints, non‑conformities, and conduct root‑cause investigations with CAPA follow‑up.
• Plan QC staff schedules, manage purchase requisitions for quality resources, and conduct internal audits.
• Support the Quality Manager in developing processes, specifications, and critical control points to ensure regulatory compliance (SFDA, SASO, BALADIA) and customer requirements.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of experience in a similar QA/QC role within the food industry.
• Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Strong analytical, strategic planning, and complex process‑improvement abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Required skills

• HACCP certification and training.
• Implementation experience with ISO 22000, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and BRC standards.
• Knowledge of Total Quality Management (TQM) and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
