Quality Control Inspector

About the role

We are looking for experienced Quality Control Inspectors to join our pipeline coating projects, both offshore and onshore, ensuring compliance with industry standards and delivering high‑quality protective coatings.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct quality inspections of pipeline coating applications to ensure compliance with project specifications and standards (NACE, SSPC, API, Aramco).
• Verify surface preparation, coating application, and curing processes meet technical standards.
• Perform adhesion tests, thickness measurements, holiday testing, and other coating inspection methods.
• Document and report non‑conformities, initiate corrective actions, and collaborate with production to resolve quality issues.
• Ensure compliance with Aramco, NACE and other international quality standards for protective coatings and corrosion prevention.
• Conduct audits and inspections at various stages of the coating process and maintain detailed inspection records.
• Assist in reviewing and approving coating procedures, material certifications, and quality control documentation.
• Monitor and enforce HSE regulations in the workplace.
• Liaise with clients, third‑party inspectors, and regulatory bodies during audits and inspections.
• Stay updated on new coating technologies, inspection techniques, and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the pipeline coating industry.
• NACE Level 1, 2, or 3 or BAGS certification.

Required skills

• Expertise in coating materials such as FBE, 3LPE, 3LPP, and liquid coatings.
• Proficiency in inspection techniques: dry film thickness (DFT), holiday detection, adhesion testing, and surface profile measurement.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, standards, and specifications.
• Excellent report writing and documentation skills.
• Capability to work in challenging environments (outdoors, field sites, confined spaces, high‑temperature areas).
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
