Quality Control Manager – Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are looking for a Quality Control Manager to join our Operations team in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. The role will lead continuous improvement of product quality, safety and cost efficiency, supporting customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe working environment in line with EHS best practices.
• Oversee quality control of processes and finished products to meet internal and customer standards.
• Plan and execute product and process development projects.
• Drive cost‑reduction initiatives for products through focused planning.
• Manage inspection of finished goods against technical specifications.
• Control and evaluate incoming raw materials promptly.
• Supervise calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.
• Implement actions to reduce quality complaints and improve reliability.
• Support product customization for specific customer requirements.
• Participate in customer and supplier visits for technical discussions.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards, QMS and internal Calderys quality systems.
• Coordinate with Marketing, R&D, Project Applications and Supply Chain.
• Provide technical training and mentoring to sub‑ordinates.
• Handle third‑party and customer inspections professionally.
• Maintain systematic test records for traceability and audits.
• Promote 5S standards for a clean, organized workplace.

Required profile

• Diploma or Engineering degree in Ceramic Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years hands‑on experience with refractory testing and characterization.
• Strong understanding of ceramics and refractories.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.

Required skills

• Refractory testing and characterization techniques.
• Knowledge of mineralogy, crystallography and phase diagrams.
• Correlation of refractory properties with performance outcomes.
• MS Office proficiency.
