Quality Inspector

About the role

The Quality Inspector (QC Inspector) ensures that gas turbine components meet all applicable codes, standards, and specifications throughout the repair process. Working on the shop floor, the inspector conducts incoming, in‑process, and final inspections, identifies non‑conformances, and documents findings in technical reports.

Key responsibilities

• Perform incoming, in‑process, and final inspections of gas turbine parts.
• Identify defects and non‑conformances, measuring them with calipers, dial indicators, and other precision tools.
• Interpret technical drawings, work instructions, and REIs to verify compliance.
• Prepare detailed technical reports describing defects, corrective actions, and inspection results.
• Follow GEMTEC policies, promote EHS, quality, and compliance on the shop floor.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or equivalent experience in Non‑Destructive Testing (NDT).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
• Strong knowledge of quality, safety, and shop computer systems.
• Familiarity with EHS and quality requirements in manufacturing operations.

Required skills

• NDT inspection (preferably Level II PT certification).
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and work instructions.
• Use of measuring instruments such as calipers and dial indicators.
• SAP knowledge (preferred).
• Technical report writing.
