Quality Manager – Event Fabrication

About the role

The Quality Manager will oversee the quality assurance of custom‑built event structures in the fabrication workshop, ensuring they meet client specifications, safety standards, and structural integrity before delivery and on‑site installation. This role connects creative design, project management, and safety compliance to deliver flawless event experiences.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, document and enforce a quality management system with SOPs for carpentry, metal fabrication, printing, foam, painting and assembly.
• Participate in design reviews to assess feasibility, identify structural issues and ensure compliance with safety, legal and environmental standards.
• Conduct in‑process inspections and routine audits to catch deviations early.
• Perform final inspections of completed structures for cosmetic, structural and functional compliance before shipping.
• Inspect incoming raw materials and manage supplier quality.
• Lead investigations of non‑conforming items, determine root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Collaborate with production teams to ensure health and safety regulations, including electrical safety, are met.
• Maintain accurate documentation for client certifications, material traceability and safety audits.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in quality assurance or quality management, preferably in event fabrication or construction.
• Strong knowledge of metal fabrication (welding) and carpentry, finishing techniques and technical drawing interpretation.
• ISO 9001 lead auditor training is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to solve complex technical problems under tight deadlines.
• Leadership experience managing a small team of technicians, inspectors or assemblers.
• Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel; familiarity with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
