Quality Manager

About the role

The Quality Manager will lead the development and implementation of the plant’s quality management system, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001, customer specifications and regulatory requirements. This role oversees quality performance, drives continuous improvement, and manages non‑conformance resolution across all manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and enforce the plant‑wide Quality Management System (QMS), Quality Control Plans (QCP) and Inspection & Test Plans (ITP) in line with ISO 9001.
• Oversee detection of non‑conformances, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and lead CAPA and 8D reporting to prevent recurrence.
• Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC), Measurement System Analysis (MSA) and Gauge R&R to monitor capability metrics and reduce process variation.
• Lead internal and external quality audits, manage customer complaint resolution and monitor PPM rates.
• Direct daily activities of Quality Engineers, QC Inspectors and Safety personnel, ensuring HSE compliance and team capability development.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of experience in quality management within manufacturing, including at least 2 years in a direct leadership role.
• BSc in Chemical Engineering (required); Master’s degree or MBA preferred.
• Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE), ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, Six Sigma Black Belt.

• ISO 9001 QMS auditing and process capability evaluation.
• Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) reduction techniques.
