Quantity Surveyor for High‑Rise Projects

About the role

The Quantity Surveyor will be stationed on‑site, handling day‑to‑day cost management for high‑rise tower construction. You will ensure accurate measurement, valuation and cost reporting, supporting the commercial function of the project.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare precise quantity take‑offs and measurements from drawings and BOQs for substructure, superstructure, MEP and finishes.
• Compile interim payment applications and certifications for contractors and subcontractors.
• Assist in preparing and reviewing BOQs, cost estimates and tender documents.
• Track and process variation orders with proper documentation.
• Monitor site progress against measured quantities and feed data into progress reports.
• Maintain cost registers, material, labour and subcontractor account databases.
• Support subcontractor account reconciliation and final account preparation.
• Liaise with site engineers, planning and procurement teams to provide timely cost information.
• Help the QS Manager with monthly cost reporting, cash‑flow forecasting and budget tracking.
• Ensure compliance with contract terms (FIDIC or equivalent) and flag potential cost overruns early.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
• 5–8 years of hands‑on experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably on high‑rise building projects.
• Strong attention to detail, accurate measurement and valuation skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Quantity Surveying software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
