RCM Rotating Engineer – Saudi Arabia

About the role

We are looking for an experienced RCM Rotating Equipment Engineer to lead Reliability‑Centered Maintenance initiatives for critical rotating assets on large‑scale industrial projects in Saudi Arabia. The specialist will apply SAE JA1011/JA1012 standards to improve equipment availability, reduce downtime, and optimise lifecycle costs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute RCM studies for pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, gearboxes, fans, blowers and complete rotating packages.
• Apply the seven RCM questions to define optimal maintenance strategies.
• Conduct FMEA/FMECA and root‑cause analysis for equipment failures.
• Analyse vibration, oil and thermography data to support condition‑based monitoring.
• Calculate MTBF, set preventive‑maintenance frequencies and optimise inspection plans.
• Facilitate RCM and FMECA workshops with operations, maintenance and engineering teams.
• Train and mentor staff on rotating‑equipment reliability best practices.
• Use GE APM Meridium and SAP CMMS for reliability analysis, planning and documentation.
• Support asset‑health monitoring, bad‑actor elimination and continuous‑improvement programmes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in rotating‑equipment maintenance, reliability or engineering.
• At least 3 years applying RCM methodology per SAE JA1011/JA1012.
• Proven experience on large‑scale industrial or EPC projects.
• CMRP certification (mandatory).
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and cross‑functional coordination skills.
