Recovery Director

About the role

Mace is seeking a Recovery Director to lead the turnaround of a large mixed‑use development in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on restoring confidence in project delivery by implementing robust planning, monitoring, and coordination across the main contractor, subcontractors, consultants and other stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assess the contractor’s baseline and recovery programmes, critical path, sequencing and milestone strategy.
• Monitor progress against approved schedules, contractual milestones and recovery targets, identifying delays, productivity issues and resource constraints.
• Develop, implement and track recovery and mitigation strategies, validating look‑ahead schedules and contractor updates.
• Oversee contractor and subcontractor performance, recommend corrective actions or replacements where needed.
• Chair and lead recovery, coordination and performance meetings with all project parties.
• Coordinate with consultants, designers, operators and authorities to remove delivery obstacles.
• Support cost assessments for recovery measures and provide input for contractual notifications related to delays or non‑performance.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Minimum 15 + years of experience in large‑scale construction and project delivery.
• Proven ability to manage contractors and subcontractors on complex projects.
