Regional Communications Manager – EMEA

About the role

The Regional Communications Manager will support the development and execution of both external and internal communications across the EMEA region for S&P Global Energy. Based in Riyadh, the role focuses on enhancing the company’s visibility and reputation by building media relationships, securing coverage, and ensuring consistent strategic messaging.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the communications strategy for S&P Global Energy within the EMEA region, aligned with divisional and corporate objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leaders and subject‑matter experts to craft compelling narratives and communicate key strategic initiatives.
• Draft and distribute external content such as press releases, statements, media advisories, pitch materials, and bylined articles.
• Create internal content, including executive messages for senior stakeholders, and manage internal events as required.
• Build and maintain relationships with top‑tier global media, industry analysts, and key journalists across the EMEA region.
• Coordinate media interviews, press briefings, and events to promote divisional initiatives and corporate goals.
• Monitor and report on communications results, ensuring alignment with divisional and enterprise strategic goals.
• Manage media relations during crises, delivering effective responses and mitigating reputational risk.

Required profile

• Strategic communications leader with proven experience in the energy, data/benchmark, or sustainability sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, leadership, and subject‑matter experts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to produce high‑quality external and internal content.
• Experience in media relations, crisis communications, and rapid‑response strategies.
• Saudi national (the role is open to Saudi citizens only; no sponsorship or relocation provided).
