Registered Nurse – VIP Ward

About the role

The VIP Ward Nurse provides comprehensive, high‑quality nursing care to patients in a specialized, high‑acuity environment. Working closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, the nurse ensures patient safety, comfort, and optimal clinical outcomes while adhering to Fakeeh Care policies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital‑sign monitoring.
• Develop, implement, and update individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, monitoring for side effects or adverse reactions.
• Provide wound care, including cleaning, dressing, and infection surveillance.
• Assist physicians during procedures and diagnostic tests.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and preventive measures.
• Observe, record, and report changes in patient status to the medical team.
• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and follow established emergency protocols.
• Perform purposeful rounding to anticipate needs and prevent complications.
• Maintain strict infection‑control standards and participate in surveillance activities.
• Document accurate patient care records and communicate effectively with the care team.
• Provide emotional support, respect cultural values, and advocate for patient preferences.
• Supervise junior staff and nursing students, offering guidance and feedback.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to deliver integrated care.

Required profile

• Qualified nurse capable of performing comprehensive clinical assessments and care planning.
• Ability to administer medications, manage wound care, and respond to emergencies.
• Strong commitment to infection‑control practices and patient safety.
• Effective communication skills for interaction with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Willingness to provide emotional support and respect diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Experience supervising junior staff or nursing students is preferred.
