Registrar - Dermatology

About the role

The Registrar – Dermatology is a physician undergoing advanced specialty training who delivers comprehensive dermatology care through both in‑person and telemedicine platforms. Working under consultant supervision, the registrar manages acute, chronic and complex skin conditions while supporting clinical governance and mentoring junior staff as needed.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct virtual and face‑to‑face dermatology consultations for adult and paediatric patients.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of dermatological conditions, including emergencies and red‑flag presentations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, prescribe topical and systemic therapies, and monitor medication safety.
• Document all encounters accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR) and coordinate follow‑up care or referrals.
• Adhere to clinical guidelines, telehealth regulations and patient‑safety protocols; report incidents and participate in audits.
• Maintain up‑to‑date clinical knowledge through CME, workshops and conferences.
• Support teaching and supervision of junior doctors when required.

Required profile

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completion of a dermatology residency fellowship.
• Registration with the Saudi Commission for Health Specialties as a Registrar – Dermatology.
• Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills in dermatology.

Required skills

• Experience in teledermatology.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and digital health platforms.
