Reliability Modeling Internship

About the role

Air Products is seeking a co‑op intern to join its new technology centre in Dhahran Techno Valley, Saudi Arabia. The intern will support reliability modeling for oil & gas process plants, gaining hands‑on experience with reliability theory, data collection, and Python development.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and validate reliability modeling methods, including Cox proportional hazards algorithms.
• Troubleshoot firmware installations and set up data pipelines.
• Collect, interpret, and prepare plant operation data for model evaluation.
• Write basic Python code to automate modeling tasks using relevant libraries.
• Apply algorithms to field data, generate performance metrics, and suggest improvements.
• Document test cases and best practices, and present findings.

Required profile

• Knowledge of probability theory and reliability models, especially the Cox proportional hazard model.
• Hands‑on experience coding in Python (or C, C++, VBA, R).
• Familiarity with data processing, statistical modeling, machine learning, reliability modeling, or failure analysis.
