Remote Human Resources Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a Remote Human Resources Assistant to support core HR operations for a distributed team. You will keep employee records accurate, help with onboarding and off‑boarding, and ensure HR workflows run smoothly while maintaining strict confidentiality.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and update employee records across HR systems.
• Support onboarding and off‑boarding processes, including documentation and scheduling.
• Prepare HR documents such as contracts, letters, and internal communications.
• Respond to basic HR inquiries and route requests to the appropriate team members.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies, documentation standards, and data‑privacy requirements.
• Organise digital HR files using standardized naming and filing systems.
• Monitor HR workflows, identify delays or gaps, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Maintain HR trackers and provide regular updates on task progress.
• Assist with audit preparation by ensuring documentation is complete and accessible.

Required profile

• Proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel for data entry and formatting.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured HR procedures.
• Clear written communication with a professional tone.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Reliable internet connection and capacity to work independently in a remote setting.
• Entry‑level candidates are welcome; training and support will be provided.
