Renovation Estimation Engineer

About the role

The Renovation Estimation Engineer works closely with Renovation Sales Engineers to provide full support in estimation and sales administration for elevator renovation projects. The role ensures accurate cost calculations, contract handling, and coordination across internal teams to deliver competitive proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Review customer contracts and record them in internal systems according to policy.
• Inspect installation drawings and estimate material quantities required for each contract.
• Identify source of supply from Otis factories and gather cost information from factories, sales teams, and design engineers.
• Prepare detailed estimation price lists covering material costs, manpower hours, duties, fees, tools, transportation, and other project requirements.
• Calculate margins and safe buffers to build lucrative sales propositions.
• Order material releases based on approved drawings and maintain sales records using the E‑Logistic tool.
• Archive contract terms and review monthly reports to identify trends.
• Prepare technical and commercial submittals, compliance statements, and attend customer meetings when needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in estimation, cost analysis, or renovation projects.
