Resident Engineer

About the role

House of Consulting Office for Consulting Engineers Co. (HCO) is a leading multidisciplinary consulting engineering firm in Saudi Arabia. The company is seeking an experienced Resident Engineer to oversee water storage tank and related infrastructure projects in AlUla, acting as the primary on‑site representative.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and supervise all construction activities related to water storage tanks and associated infrastructure.
• Act as the primary site representative and coordinate with contractors, consultants, clients, and stakeholders.
• Review drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Monitor construction progress against the approved programme and project requirements.
• Ensure works comply with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and applicable codes.
• Coordinate civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and utility interfaces.
• Oversee site inspections, testing, commissioning, and quality control activities.
• Identify technical issues, construction risks, delays, and non‑conformities and ensure timely resolution.
• Monitor contractor performance, HSE compliance, and corrective actions.
• Review progress reports, site documentation, RFIs, NCRs, and project records.
• Support testing, commissioning, project closeout, and final handover.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of construction and infrastructure experience, preferably with water storage tank projects.
• Proven experience in construction supervision and multidisciplinary coordination on large‑scale projects.
• Prior experience in a PMC or consultancy environment is highly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of QA/QC, HSE, testing, commissioning, and handover procedures.
