Resident Engineer (Utilities)

About the role

KEO International Consultants is looking for a Resident Engineer (Utilities) to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role leads the construction supervision team and ensures project delivery on time, within budget and in line with contractual requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site engineers, surveyors, inspectors and other disciplines involved in construction activities.
• Oversee daily site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, technical specifications and safety regulations.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and complies with engineering specifications, designs and applicable codes.
• Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors and suppliers to resolve technical or logistical issues.
• Monitor and report progress, including schedule adherence, milestones and budget control, with daily, weekly and monthly reports.
• Carry out regular site inspections to check quality, compliance with approved designs and progress against the schedule.
• Review shop drawings and approve Work Inspection Requests (WIRs) in line with quality assurance and control procedures.
• Maintain accurate site records and submit documentation to the client and project team on time.
• Ensure compliance with local codes, standards and regulations, including environmental considerations.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• At least 20 years of relevant professional experience.
• Extensive infrastructure project experience; utility diversion and permanent works experience is mandatory.
