Resident Medical Officer – Pediatrics/NICU/PICU

About the role

The Resident Medical Officer will support the Medical Review Panel and treating teams in the Pediatrics, NICU, and PICU units, ensuring timely documentation and adherence to Fakeeh Care policies.

Key responsibilities

• Interview and evaluate in‑patients, taking comprehensive medical, medication, socioeconomic, psychological, and functional histories.
• Conduct daily rounds, document findings, assessments, and care plans in the EMR.
• Respond promptly to patient complaints, coordinate investigations, and manage care with specialist input.
• Document clinical justifications for advanced diagnostics (CT, MRI, US) and ensure compliance with insurance and coding standards.
• Coordinate care among nurses, consultants, dietitians, social workers, laboratory, radiology, and insurance doctors.
• Complete transfer forms, discharge summaries, and discuss discharge instructions with patients.

Required profile

• MD or postgraduate degree in Pediatrics.
• 3‑5 years recent experience as a Resident Medical Officer in a busy hospital setting.
• Valid DHA registration/license.
• Ability to join within three weeks is preferred.
