Restaurant General Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced General Manager to oversee the overall operation and performance of a high‑volume, premium dining concept in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The General Manager will take full responsibility for day‑to‑day operations, lead the team, drive financial and commercial performance, maintain high service standards, and ensure an exceptional guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Take full responsibility for the day‑to‑day operation and overall performance of the venue.
• Lead and manage all operational departments, ensuring efficiency, consistency, and adherence to service and brand standards.
• Drive operational performance, revenue generation, guest satisfaction, and profitability.
• Lead, motivate, and develop a large and diverse team, creating a strong culture of performance and accountability.
• Oversee recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and team development in partnership with HR.
• Maintain a strong presence on the floor during peak service periods to ensure a consistently high level of guest experience.
• Build strong relationships with VIP guests and key clientele, ensuring their expectations are consistently met.
• Oversee budgets, P&L performance, labour costs, food and beverage costs, and overall cost control.
• Analyse financial and operational performance and implement action plans where required.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, health, safety, and hygiene requirements.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a General Manager or senior management professional within a high‑end restaurant environment.
• Strong background in high‑volume restaurants, with experience leading and developing large teams.
• Previous experience within an upscale French bistro or French dining concept is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of French cuisine, service style, and expectations of an upscale French dining environment (advantage).
• Proven experience managing P&L, budgets, forecasting, labour costs, and cost control.
• Commercial awareness with the ability to drive revenue and overall business performance.
• Excellent communication, organisational, and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to perform effectively in a fast‑paced, high‑pressure environment.
• Currently based in Riyadh or willing to relocate to Riyadh.
