Review & Objections Senior Specialist

About the role

The Review & Objections Senior Specialist supports ZATCA’s objections and appeals strategy by analysing tax cases, preparing specialised reports and ensuring that legal assessments are accurate and timely. Working with minimal supervision, the role contributes to operational targets and helps improve the efficiency of the tax appeals process.

Key responsibilities

• Receive litigation cases from the audit team, prioritize them using predefined criteria and conduct initial legal research.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to collect documentation and perform high‑level legal assessments of tax cases.
• Assist tax appeals analysts, prepare full objection and appeal files, and submit them for legal review.
• Draft communications to taxpayers, extract lessons learned and highlight process inefficiencies.
• Ensure compliance with policies, SOPs and support junior staff in problem‑solving and workflow management.
• Train and supervise junior team members, delegate tasks and monitor progress.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law Studies or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in tax, legal or audit environments.
• Competencies in tax audit techniques, collaboration, communication and professionalism.
