Rig Manager / Tool Pusher

About the role

The Rig Manager – Tool Pusher ensures safe and efficient rig operations in Saudi Arabia while upholding HP’s core values of care, service, innovation, and teamwork. The role combines HSE oversight, pre‑job planning, and coordination with third‑party contractors.

Key responsibilities

• Audit and enforce Saudi HSE legislation and HP’s internal HSE processes (C.O.A.C.H, Lifebelts, written safe work procedures, POMS).
• Support personnel during non‑routine tasks and major repairs through pre‑job planning and safety meetings.
• Facilitate onboarding, pre‑tour, pre‑job and weekly safety meetings; act as safety observer on hazardous operations.
• Manage injury case handling, liaison with occupational and emergency medical services, and maintain related documentation.
• Complete HSE reporting (inspections, audits, negative events, good catches, rewards & recognition).
• Drive use of pre‑job planning tools such as Compass Cards, eJSA, Flex Checks, and Video JSA.
• Mentor and coach new‑to‑position staff, track Workday training completion, and coordinate third‑party training per Aramco requirements.
• Liaise with Aramco HSE and occupational health during audits, investigations, and equipment inspections.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 month of relevant experience in rig or HSE management.
• Strong knowledge of Saudi health, safety and environmental regulations.
• Ability to use independent judgment for accident investigations and reporting.
• Excellent communication skills for coaching, mentoring and stakeholder liaison.
