Safety Manager

About the role

The Safety Manager (HSE Manager) supports senior project leadership to create safe working conditions and prevent environmental incidents. The role ensures all health, safety and environmental programs comply with state, client and corporate regulations while driving continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and oversee HSE policies, procedures and programs to meet regulatory and client requirements.
• Conduct risk assessments, audits and incident investigations, delivering root‑cause analyses and corrective action plans.
• Lead HSE training programmes and promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship across contractors and staff.
• Monitor HSE performance metrics, track trends and prepare reports for internal and external stakeholders.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies, clients and external partners to ensure compliance and communicate key findings.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of overall experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial HSE role within the GCC.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Level 6 Diploma in OHS; NEBOSH certification and Lead Auditor certificates for ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22301 are required.
