Safety Officer

About the role

The Safety Officer will play a pivotal role in safeguarding the workplace by implementing and monitoring health and safety policies. This position involves regular site inspections, hazard identification, and ensuring that all activities comply with relevant safety regulations and company standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve health and safety policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
• Monitor compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and internal standards.
• Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and safety training.
• Collaborate with management and staff to promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.

Required profile

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a safety‑related role.
• Valid NEBOSH or IOSH certification.
• Strong knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
