Science Communications & Engagement Coordinator

About the role

The Science Communications & Engagement Coordinator will translate cutting‑edge research and education from the Division into compelling stories for audiences in Saudi Arabia and worldwide. Working closely with faculty, researchers, students and staff, you will be the visible voice of the Division across digital channels, helping to showcase its impact and relevance.

Key responsibilities

• Create original, engaging content that highlights the Division’s research, education programmes, people and societal impact.
• Develop and maintain the Division’s LinkedIn and X (Twitter) accounts, publishing posts, visuals and short videos, and interacting with followers.
• Build and nurture relationships with internal stakeholders to generate a steady pipeline of story ideas.
• Collaborate with the Global Branding and Communications office and other university units to ensure coordinated messaging.
• Produce Arabic‑language content and bilingual storytelling to reach Saudi and regional audiences.
• Maintain an editorial calendar, track basic engagement metrics and provide regular performance insights.

Required profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language ability is a plus.
• Passion for science, storytelling and engaging diverse audiences online.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with faculty, researchers and external partners.

Required skills

• Proficiency with social‑media platforms such as LinkedIn and X (Twitter).
• Experience creating digital content (text, images, short video).
