Scrap & Salvage Estimator

About the role

The SCRAP & SALVAGE ESTIMATOR is a full‑time, on‑site role based in Jubail. The estimator will assess scrap and salvage materials from industrial projects, analyse their condition and market value, and prepare accurate cost estimates and recovery projections.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect scrap and salvage materials on‑site and evaluate their condition.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, equipment lists and material specifications.
• Coordinate with project, maintenance, procurement and finance teams to gather required information.
• Maintain detailed records of salvageable items, disposal requirements and recovery projections.
• Prepare quotation and bid documents for scrap sales and recycling contracts.
• Support negotiations with buyers, vendors and recycling partners.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, safety, environmental and regulatory standards.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of scrap management processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and estimation skills, including cost analysis and valuation of scrap materials.
• Knowledge of industrial processes and materials used in Oil & Gas, Energy and related sectors.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as drawings and equipment lists.
• Proficiency in spreadsheets and estimation software, with solid data‑entry and documentation abilities.
• Effective communication and coordination skills for working with multicultural project teams.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and ability to manage multiple site inspections simultaneously.
• Understanding of safety, environmental and regulatory standards related to scrap handling.
• Previous experience in estimating, scrap management or related roles within industrial or construction environments.
• Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
• Willingness to work on‑site in Jubail and travel to other project locations when required.
