Section Head, Raw Materials Procurement (Strategic Sourcing)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced procurement leader to head the strategic sourcing of critical raw materials for large‑scale industrial operations in Saudi Arabia. The Section Head will ensure supply continuity, optimise total cost of ownership and build strong supplier partnerships while supporting the company’s growth objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category and procurement strategies aligned with business goals and governance.
• Secure uninterrupted supply of key raw materials through sourcing diversification, risk mitigation and long‑term contracts.
• Lead strategic sourcing, contract negotiations, supplier relationship and performance management.
• Apply Total Cost of Ownership principles to balance cost, quality, logistics, inventory and risk.
• Monitor market trends and supply‑demand dynamics to identify opportunities and manage risks.
• Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, suppliers and business partners.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies, contract governance and ethical standards.
• Lead, coach and develop a high‑performing procurement team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIPS or equivalent is desirable.
• Minimum six years of experience in strategic sourcing, category management or raw‑materials procurement.
• Proven track record of leading negotiations and managing supplier relationships.
