Senior Accountant - E-commerce

About the role

Segadty, a leading brand under Alkaffary Group growing in digital retail through platforms such as Zid and Salla, is expanding its finance team. It is looking for a Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations and support the growing needs of its e-commerce business, ideally someone with hands-on experience in online accounting systems.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily journal entries, bank reconciliations and accounts payable and receivable.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements.
• Analyse order profitability and product-level margins from online platform data.
• Review supplier invoices and e-invoices issued through the online store.
• Track and validate cost of goods sold (COGS) using inventory data from Zid and Salla.
• Coordinate with marketing and operations on financial performance reports and business insights.
• Reconcile payment gateway reports (Tabby, Tamara, credit cards, bank transfers) with accounting records.
• Ensure alignment between warehouse stock movement and financial reporting.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on accounting experience, preferably in an e-commerce or digital retail company.
• Prior exposure to Zid, Salla, Shopify or WooCommerce is highly preferred.
• Experience reconciling payment gateway reports with accounting records.
• Bonus: experience in perfumes, cosmetics, furniture or carpets.

Required skills

• Daftra, Odoo or QuickBooks, with proven ability to reconcile online orders, returns and shipping.
• Understanding of order fulfillment, payment gateways (Tabby, Tamara, Mada) and COD accounting.
• Inventory accounting, COGS tracking and revenue recognition in digital commerce.
• Saudi e-invoicing (فاتورة) and ZATCA VAT compliance, and POS systems.
• Task management tools such as ClickUp, Asana or Notion.
