Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will support the Finance Manager in daily finance operations and statutory reporting for entities in Saudi Arabia. This role involves a mix of bookkeeping, audit assistance, tax compliance, and financial analysis across the MEA region.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Finance Manager with daily finance operations and statutory reporting for KSA entities.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring efficient review of financial data and controls.
• Perform bookkeeping tasks including journal entries, accruals, pre‑payments and bank reconciliations.
• Prepare balance‑sheet reconciliations and investigate stock transaction or invoicing discrepancies.
• Coordinate invoice and payment matters with agents and stakeholders.
• Support corporate tax return preparation and ensure compliance with local regulations.
• Attend stock counts and assist payroll activities to guarantee timely employee payments.
• Manage cash‑flow activities, collections, and local payment documentation.
• Prepare VAT and WHT filings for Finance Manager review.
• Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of progressive accounting or finance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Experience in Oil & Gas or oilfield services is a plus.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, statutory reporting, VAT, WHT, payroll and financial controls.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management and analytical skills.
