Senior Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled and detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to join our finance team. The successful candidate will manage the full accounting cycle, ensure regulatory compliance, and provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the complete accounting cycle, including journal entries, general ledger maintenance, and month‑end closing.
• Handle Zakat, Value Added Tax (VAT), and Withholding Tax in line with ZATCA regulations.
• Prepare, review, and submit tax and Zakat returns accurately and on time.
• Ensure proper accounting treatment and obtain necessary approvals for all financial transactions.
• Coordinate with external and internal auditors, supplying required documentation and explanations.
• Prepare periodic financial statements and management reports.
• Maintain compliance with IFRS and local statutory requirements.
• Utilise ERP and accounting systems efficiently for day‑to‑day operations.
• Support management with financial analysis and decision‑making.
• Prior experience in IT or technology companies is highly preferred.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Local citizens are preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience using ERP systems.
• Knowledge of Zakat, VAT, and Withholding Tax regulations.
• Understanding of IFRS compliance.
