Senior Accountant

About the role

Wardat Almashreq is seeking a detail‑oriented Senior Accountant to lead its accounts payable function. You will ensure accurate, timely processing of supplier invoices, maintain strong internal controls, and support month‑end closing activities while managing vendor relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounts payable operations, guaranteeing invoices are processed accurately and on schedule.
• Manage the three‑way matching process between purchase orders, goods receipts, and supplier invoices.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies in collaboration with Procurement, Warehouse and other departments.
• Lead month‑end AP closing tasks, including accruals, reconciliations and clearing outstanding items.
• Prepare and review vendor payment plans, monitor aging, and identify overdue risks.
• Conduct supplier statement reconciliations and handle foreign‑currency transaction accounting.
• Support internal and external audits by supplying required documentation.
• Guide junior team members and ensure continuity during absences.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on accounts payable experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, FMCG or food‑industry environments is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of AP processes, three‑way matching, accruals, reconciliations and VAT regulations.
• Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Microsoft Excel.
