Senior Architect Engineer - Design

About the role

The Senior Architect Engineer – Design will lead the creation and review of architectural concepts, detailed drawings and ensure compliance with Saudi regulations. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, municipal authorities and clients to deliver high‑quality, sustainable designs for large‑scale projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and review architectural designs, concepts and detailed drawings, ensuring alignment with the Saudi Building Code, MOMRA guidelines and local authority regulations.
• Prepare and submit authority applications, follow up for approvals and coordinate with municipalities and regulatory bodies.
• Collaborate with engineers, contractors and clients to integrate architectural solutions and lead technical discussions.
• Conduct site inspections, review contractor submittals and resolve architectural discrepancies during construction.
• Maintain project records, correspondence and progress reports; prepare specifications and material selection guidelines.
• Implement sustainable design principles, stay updated on industry trends and integrate advanced technologies such as BIM.
• Mentor junior architects, supervise drafting teams and assist in recruitment interviews for the architectural department.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 10–15+ years of experience in architectural design and consultancy, preferably on mega‑projects.
• Valid membership with the Saudi Council of Engineers; professional certifications such as RIBA or AIA are a plus.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, construction methods and material specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership and problem‑solving abilities.
