Senior Category Manager – Quick Commerce

About the role

Amazon Now (Anow) is the quick‑commerce arm of Amazon in Saudi Arabia, delivering everyday essentials within 15 minutes from dark‑store hubs. The Senior Category Manager will be responsible for the full performance of one or more product categories, driving selection, availability, pricing and commercial results.

Key responsibilities

• Own the category P&L, including gross merchandise sales, margin, selection breadth and availability metrics.
• Expand the assortment by identifying entitlement gaps, onboarding new brands and vendors, and prioritising SKUs that succeed in the 15‑minute shopping occasion.
• Negotiate vendor terms, monitor service levels and fill rates, and resolve supply constraints that affect stock‑out‑while‑order‑in‑process (SWOOS).
• Collaborate with Operations, Inbound and Replenishment teams to translate demand signals into in‑stock execution.
• Conduct competitive analysis against rivals such as Ninja, Keeta, Noon and Hungerstation to uncover share‑of‑shelf gaps and white‑space opportunities.
• Lead commercial moments (Back to School, National Day, Ramadan) with appropriate selection, inventory depth and promotional plans.
• Work cross‑functionally with Core Retail, RVR and OHL to unlock listings and remove systemic blockers.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in category management, buying or retail merchandising, preferably in e‑commerce or FMCG.
• Proven track record of growing selection and improving availability metrics at scale.
• Strong vendor negotiation abilities and comfort with data‑driven decision making.
• Ability to thrive in an ambiguous, fast‑moving environment that blends startup agility with a large‑company scale.
• Fluent English; Arabic is a plus.
• Experience working in Saudi Arabia or other GCC markets is preferred.
