Senior Civil & Transportation Engineer

About the role

Hill International is seeking a Senior Civil & Transportation Engineer to lead multidisciplinary design reviews for a high‑profile infrastructure project in Saudi Arabia. You will ensure that highway, drainage, structural and geotechnical designs comply with local codes and international best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical reviews of highway, roadway and interchange designs against the Saudi Highway Code, MOT standards and global guidelines.
• Coordinate and evaluate multidisciplinary submissions, including transportation, drainage, structural and traffic engineering packages.
• Review design reports, drawings, calculations and technical studies, providing feedback and recommendations.
• Support constructability reviews, assess construction feasibility and propose mitigation measures.
• Evaluate drainage systems, hydraulic studies and storm‑water management solutions for sustainability.
• Assess road structures such as bridges, retaining walls and underpasses for safety and integrity.
• Participate in workshops, design reviews, risk assessments and stakeholder engagement activities.
• Monitor consultant performance to maintain high design quality and schedule adherence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory); Master’s in Transportation Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in transportation and highway engineering on major infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to review multidisciplinary designs and manage utility coordination.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective stakeholder collaboration.
