Senior Commercial Manager

About the role

Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Senior Commercial Manager (Saudi National) to lead commercial and contractual activities on major infrastructure and building projects. You will ensure commercial excellence, contract compliance, cost control and risk mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead commercial performance for assigned project areas, aligning with project objectives and contractual obligations.
• Provide commercial guidance and strategic direction to the Project Director and senior stakeholders.
• Interface with client representatives, present commercial updates and recommendations.
• Support contract negotiations, amendments and modifications to secure favourable terms.
• Develop and implement commercial management plans and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with the Senior Project Manager to deliver projects within approved budgets and schedules.
• Prepare commercial status reports, cost forecasts, financial projections and schedule impact analyses.
• Identify scope changes, variations and site conditions, and obtain appropriate change orders.
• Review progress and contract status, assess financial performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Advise on minimizing contractual risks and manage claims, variation orders and engineer instructions.
• Maintain commercial records, facilitate contract close‑out and ensure all obligations are met before final payment.
• Mentor project commercial teams and promote best practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Quantity Surveying, Commercial Management or a related discipline from an internationally recognised university.
• Chartered professional qualification from a recognised body such as the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) or the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
• Extensive experience in commercial and contractual management of large‑scale infrastructure or building projects.
• Strong understanding of contract law, risk management and cost control.
