Senior Consultant, Communications

About the role

Consulum is looking for a Senior Consultant in Communications to support account leads and senior team members with strategic communications for a diverse client base. The role is based in Riyadh (with presence in Manama) and requires regular travel across the Gulf region.

Key responsibilities

• Support account leads and managers in delivering strategic communications solutions.
• Monitor print, broadcast and social media, producing daily news alerts and detailed monitoring reports.
• Draft client‑ready messaging, talking points, press releases and digital content.
• Produce research briefs, briefing notes and client‑focused PowerPoint presentations.
• Develop first drafts of social media calendars and manage account administration processes.
• Assist in creating briefing materials for new business pitches.

Required profile

• Solid graduate experience in research, data‑gathering or media‑monitoring roles.
• Proven ability to work under pressure with multiple demands.
• Strong interest in global and Middle East affairs and geopolitics.
• Attention to detail, resilience and a willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Excellent research and writing abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Good understanding of digital media monitoring and social listening tools.
