Senior Director, Accounting & Controlling

About the role

This senior‑level position is based in Saudi Arabia and reports to the Finance leadership team. It offers the chance to shape and transform a global accounting function within a fast‑growing, technology‑driven organization.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the end‑to‑end accounting engine, including month‑end close, financial reporting, internal controls, policies and compliance.
• Build and scale a global accounting operating model across people, processes, systems and international entities, covering payroll and treasury.
• Provide expert technical accounting guidance on revenue recognition, commissions, equity, payroll, intercompany, foreign‑exchange and policy interpretation.
• Partner with commercial and operational teams to design practical accounting solutions that support growth while managing risk.
• Hire, mentor and develop a distributed accounting team, fostering accountability and professional growth.
• Drive finance transformation by identifying automation opportunities, implementing AI‑enabled tools and improving workflows.
• Strengthen the control environment with a focus on SOX readiness and support strategic initiatives such as fundraising, M&A and IPO preparation.
• Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, payroll providers and other strategic partners.

Required profile

• 6+ years of experience leading accounting, controlling or finance operations in complex, multi‑entity, global environments.
• Strong technical accounting background covering revenue, commissions, equity, payroll, intercompany structures and financial policies.
• Experience in high‑growth software, SaaS or technology companies with recurring revenue models.
• Proven ability to lead through others and drive large‑scale transformation initiatives.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of applicable accounting standards and SOX compliance.
