Senior Director, Performance Marketing

About the role

Puffy, a nine‑figure D2C brand and top‑5 US mattress company, is seeking a Senior Director of Performance Marketing to own and scale a multi‑million‑dollar monthly paid media engine across Google and Meta. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will design the systems, measurement frameworks, and creative processes that drive revenue while protecting contribution margin.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a multi‑million‑dollar monthly paid media budget on Google Ads and Meta platforms.
• Develop and document spend‑allocation rules, pause/scale logic, and guardrails to enable autonomous scaling.
• Build and oversee measurement infrastructure, including geo‑holdout incrementality testing.
• Architect a creative engine: concept pipeline, testing taxonomy, briefs, hook analytics, UGC, and whitelisting.
• Design capital‑allocation models focused on contribution margin rather than ROAS.
• Create promo architecture aligned with the retail calendar and financing offers.
• Identify and pilot new paid channels beyond Google and Meta.
• Recruit, lead, and mentor a performance‑marketing team.

Required profile

• Senior‑level experience leading performance‑marketing functions with multi‑million‑dollar budgets.
• Proven ability to build measurement systems and data‑driven decision frameworks.
• Track record of scaling paid media while maintaining or improving contribution margin.
• Comfort operating with direct executive oversight and influencing company strategy.
