Senior ESG & Climate Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Consultant to join KPMG’s ESG & Climate Advisory team in Riyadh. The role will help clients across Saudi Arabia and the GCC design, implement and report on ESG and decarbonisation strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct ESG and climate‑related risk assessments, double materiality analyses and stakeholder mapping.
• Develop corporate sustainability strategies, net‑zero pathways, carbon‑footprint assessments and climate scenario analyses.
• Prepare ESG disclosures and sustainability reports aligned with local (SAMA, CMA, Tadawul) and international frameworks such as TCFD, GHG Protocol, ISSB, GRI, SASB, CSRD and EU Taxonomy.
• Support climate stress‑testing, physical and transition risk modelling and sustainable‑finance advisory projects.
• Implement ESG data‑management tools, KPIs, dashboards and digital platforms.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of experience in ESG, climate risk or sustainability consulting, preferably with a Big‑4 or similar firm.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Climate Policy, Sustainability, Engineering, Economics or a related discipline.
• Fluency in Arabic is preferred.
• Relevant certifications (CFA ESG, GARP SCR, SASB FSA, GRI, etc.) are an advantage.

Required skills

• Familiarity with ESG frameworks: TCFD, TNFD, GHG Protocol, ISSB, GRI, SASB, CSRD, EU Taxonomy.
• Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and ESG analytics tools such as Power BI, Tableau, SBTi tools and GHG Protocol platforms.
