Senior Frontend Consultant

About the role

The Senior Frontend Consultant will lead frontend development initiatives across the Government Digital Products portfolio, delivering high‑quality, scalable user interfaces and digital experiences that meet business objectives and user needs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop responsive, maintainable frontend applications for multiple government products.
• Establish and enforce frontend development standards, frameworks, and best practices.
• Ensure architectures support performance, scalability, accessibility, security and operational requirements.
• Collaborate with design, product, backend, QA and DevOps teams to deliver integrated digital solutions.
• Drive technical consistency across products and support API integrations and data exchange.
• Lead frontend delivery for new features, enhancements and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Implement quality assurance practices, conduct code reviews and support user acceptance testing.
• Monitor and optimise application performance, identifying and resolving bottlenecks.

Required profile

• Significant experience leading frontend development in complex, multi‑product environments.
• Strong ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Proven track record of delivering high‑quality user interfaces that enhance customer experience.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross‑functional teams.
