Senior Functional Support Analyst – Finastra Trade Innovation

About the role

The Senior Functional Support Analyst will provide functional support for Finastra Trade Innovation implementations, upgrades and enhancements, acting as a bridge between business stakeholders and technology teams.

Key responsibilities

• Provide L2/L3 functional troubleshooting for end‑user issues across the trade lifecycle, including transactional errors and workflow failures.
• Replicate production bugs in staging, document steps and impact, and escalate to developers or Finastra vendors as needed.
• Acknowledge and resolve support tickets within defined SLA limits to minimise operational downtime.

Required profile

• 7‑10 years of total IT experience with deep expertise in Finastra Trade Innovation and trade finance operations.
• At least 3 years hands‑on experience with Finastra Trade Innovation (TI Plus, TI Plus2 or Fusion Trade Innovation) across multiple implementations or upgrades.
• Strong understanding of documentary credits, guarantees, collections, trade financing products and relevant ICC rules (UCP 600, ISBP 821, etc.).

Required skills

• Finatra Trade Innovation modules: Import/Export LCs, Standby LCs, guarantees, collections, shipping guarantees, trade loans, bills discounting.
• Configuration of static data, customer/account setup, charges, posting/accounting rules, event workflows and user roles.
• Integration techniques: web services, message queues, file‑based interfaces, TI Corporate Portal.
• Knowledge of SWIFT Category 4 & 7 messages, MT798 and trade digitisation standards (MLETR, electronic bills of lading).
