Senior Lifting Coordinator

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Lifting Coordinator to lead the planning and execution of complex lifting operations on a high‑profile construction project in Riyadh. The role involves developing detailed lift plans, coordinating multiple contractors and crane operators, and ensuring safe and efficient use of approximately 25 tower cranes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop detailed lift plans for critical and complex lifts, considering crane capacity, load weight, geometry, and environmental conditions.
• Coordinate daily lifting activities among contractors, crane operators, riggers, and site supervisors.
• Oversee the operation of around 25 tower cranes, ensuring optimal utilization and safe coordination across work zones.
• Review and approve lifting plans and method statements submitted by subcontractors.
• Conduct risk assessments for lifting operations and implement appropriate control measures.
• Supervise and mentor lifting teams, including riggers and signalers, promoting safe practices and competency development.
• Liaise with engineering, construction management, safety teams, and clients to align lifting operations with project schedules and safety requirements.

Required profile

• Engineering or construction degree (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of experience as a lifting coordinator on busy, complex construction sites.
• Proven experience managing multiple tower cranes.
• Valid certification as a Lifting Supervisor, Appointed Person, or equivalent (e.g., CPCS A61, LOLER Appointed Person).
