Senior Linux & Windows Server Administrator (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

About the role

DXC Technology is looking for a senior administrator to own the lifecycle of Linux and Windows Server workloads on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and hybrid on‑prem environments. You will ensure availability, security and performance of enterprise compute resources while driving automation and compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Provision, configure and manage OCI compute instances, including VM, Bare Metal and Flex shapes, and maintain golden images.
• Administer Oracle Linux 8/9 and RHEL 8/9 – kernel tuning, LVM, filesystems, SELinux, firewalld and Ksplice patching.
• Manage Windows Server 2019/2022/2025 – AD, Group Policy, IIS, Failover Clustering, WSUS and patch compliance.
• Design and execute OS patching strategies across Linux and Windows using OCI OS Management Hub.
• Apply CIS benchmarks, encryption (LUKS/BitLocker) and harden SSH, PAM, sudoers and firewall rules.
• Configure OCI networking – VNICs, DNS, NTP, VPN and hybrid connectivity.
• Monitor performance with OCI monitoring, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or SCOM and conduct capacity planning.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Ansible, Terraform (OCI provider) and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell).
• Develop runbooks, provide on‑call support and mentor junior team members.

Required profile

• 8‑10 years of server OS administration on Oracle Linux, RHEL and Windows Server.
• Hands‑on experience with OCI Compute, custom images and OS Management Hub.
• Advanced Linux skills – kernel tuning, LVM, SELinux, firewalld.
• Advanced Windows Server skills – AD, Group Policy, IIS, clustering.
• Enterprise‑wide patching experience for mixed Linux/Windows environments.
• Automation experience with Ansible and at least one scripting language (Bash, Python or PowerShell).
• Terraform experience using the OCI provider.
• Working knowledge of OCI networking components (VCN, subnets, NSGs, VNICs).
• Experience applying CIS security benchmarks and hardening Linux and Windows systems.
