Senior Logistics Manager – Construction

Key responsibilities

• Manage implementation of the approved district construction logistics strategy.
• Lead preparation and updates of district, zone and package‑level logistics plans.
• Translate strategic requirements into coordinated delivery actions and implementation programmes.
• Oversee logistics across multiple projects and allocate activities to Logistics Managers.
• Plan construction access, haul routes, traffic management and staging areas, and resolve route or schedule conflicts.
• Manage temporary roads, gates, parking, holding areas and delivery‑management requirements.
• Coordinate regular logistics meetings with contractors, consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Monitor contractor compliance through inspections and assurance activities, and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain the district logistics risk and constraint register and develop mitigation and contingency plans.
• Support commissioning, asset activation, phased hand‑over and transition from construction to operation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Logistics, Transport Planning or a related discipline.
• 12‑15 years of experience in construction logistics, infrastructure delivery or complex site operations.
• Proven experience managing logistics across multiple contractors or construction packages.
• Strong background in logistics planning, construction access, traffic management and haul‑route coordination.
• Ability to review contractor logistics and traffic‑management plans and ensure compliance.
• Deep understanding of construction programmes, phasing, risk management and work sequencing.
• Excellent leadership, communication, coordination, reporting and presentation skills.
