Senior Manager, Accounting Advisory - Financial Services (Riyadh)

About the role

PwC Middle East's Accounting Advisory Services is looking for a Senior Manager in Riyadh, focused on the financial services sector. The team advises clients on accounting standards implementation, transaction support, financial model development and review, and accounting solutions. The role sits in a growing part of the team and offers access to PwC's training and development tools.

Key responsibilities

• Work with a team of advisors to help clients solve complex accounting, financial reporting and business issues.
• Contribute to the Accounting Advisory FS leadership team's long-term vision, strategy, budget goals and performance targets.
• Lead the development of the product offering for accounting advisory services to the FS sector and help write winning proposals.
• Keep up to date with regional and global economic and business trends, especially FS trends, and share insights with clients.
• Manage client assignments with client management, project budgeting and finance management, coaching and resource management, with limited supervision from seniors.
• Mentor and coach junior team members during projects.
• Review and prepare technical papers on IFRS 9 and other accounting topics for discussion with global experts.
• Build relationships with senior client team members and interact with tax, legal and deals teams.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business studies, accounting or finance.
• ACA, ACCA or CPA certification (mandatory).
• 8+ years of advisory and financial modelling experience or other relevant experience in a Big 4 firm.
• Fluent English and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to travel within the Middle East and worldwide, up to 60%, and availability for work visa sponsorship.

• Strong knowledge of IFRS, in particular IFRS 9 financial instruments.
• Banking, credit risk management and financial risk management knowledge.
• Financial modelling and project management skills.
• Business development mindset for accounting advisory projects in the Middle East.
