Senior Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

The Senior Manager – Financial Planning & Analysis leads project controls and financial governance across assigned construction projects or portfolios. Reporting to senior leadership, the role provides strategic financial insight, ensures robust oversight of contracts, budgets, schedules, risks and delivers accurate reporting to support decision‑making.

Key responsibilities

• Manage contract variations, change orders and extension of time/cost claims, ensuring proper evaluation, documentation, approvals and reporting.
• Oversee utilization of project contingencies and provisional sums, maintaining disciplined budget control aligned with approved business cases.
• Direct cost monitoring, forecasting and variance analysis, delivering clear insights and mitigation strategies to senior management.
• Ensure data integrity and reconciliation across SAP, Primavera P6, Unifier, BIM and related systems.
• Lead monthly accrual reviews and financial close activities to guarantee accuracy and compliance.
• Provide high‑level oversight of schedule changes and integrated cost‑schedule impacts.
• Conduct risk and opportunity reviews, identifying, assessing and escalating key exposures.
• Act as senior liaison between Finance, Commercial and Project Delivery teams to ensure transparency and alignment.
• Mentor and guide project controls teams, promoting governance, accountability and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree (field not specified).
• 8+ years of experience in Project Controls or Development Finance within large construction companies, developers or PMC.
• Professional certifications such as CPA, MBA, Construction Law & Dispute Resolution (RICS) or PMP are preferred.

Required skills

• Working knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Experience with Unifier.
• Proficiency in SAP project module.
