Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

About the role

The Senior Mechanical Design Engineer is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Al Khobar, leading mechanical design activities for building and infrastructure projects.

Key responsibilities

• Develop mechanical systems designs and prepare detailed engineering drawings and specifications.
• Review designs for compliance with codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Coordinate with architectural, structural, and MEP teams.
• Perform design calculations and validate system performance through simulations or analytical methods.
• Support project planning, oversee junior engineers and designers, and provide technical guidance throughout design and construction phases.

Required profile

• Strong mechanical engineering foundation with a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design engineering, preferably within architectural or engineering consultancy environments.
• Experience leading mechanical design projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of relevant codes, standards, and best practices in building services and infrastructure projects.
