Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer – Facility

About the role

We are looking for a Senior Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to lead the reliability and performance of all mechanical systems within our facility. You will provide technical expertise, drive preventive strategies, and ensure minimal downtime while supporting continuous production efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and support the maintenance team in resolving unplanned mechanical breakdowns.
• Diagnose failures in mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with equipment suppliers for repairs, spare‑part sourcing, and technical consultation.
• Develop, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance plans and checklists.
• Manage spare‑parts inventory, identify alternative suppliers, and optimise costs.
• Supervise contractors under Annual Maintenance Contracts, ensuring compliance with scope, quality, and safety.
• Interpret mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic diagrams for troubleshooting and root‑cause analysis.
• Promote 5S methodology and uphold high workplace standards.
• Support equipment upgrades, process improvements, and energy‑efficiency initiatives.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance within an industrial setting.
• Proven ability to lead maintenance teams across multiple shifts.
• Strong focus on safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
